Nissan Unveils 300 hp Sentra Spec-V Concept with Manual Transmission

Nissan has introduced the Sentra Spec-V Concept, a modern reinterpretation of the classic SE-R. This prototype features a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine producing 304 hp and is equipped with high-performance components from models like the GT-R.

Overview of the Sentra Spec-V Concept

Nissan is reviving the spirit of the Sentra SE-R with its newly unveiled Sentra Spec-V Concept. This prototype, showcased at SEMA, boasts a significant performance upgrade, featuring a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that generates approximately 304 horsepower (224 kW), compared to the standard Sentra's 152 hp.

Performance Enhancements

The Sentra Spec-V is equipped with numerous high-performance parts, including Carrillo connecting rods and JE pistons, a Garrett G25 turbocharger, and a front-mounted intercooler. Additional enhancements include a lightweight Centerforce flywheel, a six-speed manual transmission, and a limited-slip differential from the Nismo Juke RS, ensuring the vehicle can handle its increased power.

Design Features

Nissan has integrated elements from its iconic R35 GT-R, such as GT-R NISMO brakes, Recaro front seats, and an aerodynamic rear wing. The vehicle also features a wide body kit, racing harnesses, a specially vented hood, and a distinctive side exhaust, enhancing both its aesthetic and performance capabilities.

Suspension and Wheels

To support the added power, the Sentra Spec-V utilizes NISMO Sentra coilovers with upgraded dampers and external reservoirs, optimized for track use. It rides on forged NISMO LM-RS1 wheels wrapped in 265-wide Yokohama Advan tires, providing improved grip and stability.

Future Prospects

While the Sentra Spec-V remains a concept for now, its development indicates Nissan's commitment to creating exciting vehicles. A production version, even if scaled down from this prototype, could signal a positive shift for the brand's performance offerings.
