Ceer Launches Electric Exobot Models in Saudi Arabia
Ceer has unveiled its first electric vehicles, the Exobot sedan and SUV, set to be sold in Saudi Arabia starting in 2027. These models aim to contribute to the country's efforts to reduce reliance on oil.
Introduction to Ceer Exobot
On September 21, Ceer, a Saudi Arabian startup, introduced its first electric vehicles to the public—the Exobot sedan and SUV. These are not mere concepts; they are slated for production and sales beginning in the first half of 2027, with manufacturing taking place in the King Abdullah Economic City.
Performance and Specifications
The Exobot sedan features an electric system with three motors, delivering up to 850 hp and allowing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds. It is equipped with a 112 kWh battery, utilizing an 800 V architecture, promising a range of 670 km on the NEDC cycle (approximately 570 km under WLTP standards). Charging from 10% to 80% takes around 30 minutes. The sedan measures 5,260 mm in length and boasts a striking gullwing door design.
The Exobot SUV shares many specifications with the sedan but offers slightly less range, with 560 km on the NEDC cycle (around 475 km in WLTP). It measures 5,016 mm long and provides adjustable ground clearance between 240 mm and 300 mm.
Future Plans and Features
Ceer aims to expand its lineup, with plans to launch up to five different models by 2030. Both Exobot variants feature advanced technologies, including steer-by-wire systems and rear-wheel steering, as well as common ADAS features such as blind-spot detection and adaptive cruise control.
Inside, each model includes a massive 48-inch digital display with 8K resolution, serving various functions from the dashboard to multimedia controls. The vehicles will also feature optional luxurious leather seating and unique color options for the launch edition. The CEO, Jim DeLuca, previously associated with VinFast, has emphasized the goal to produce diverse models in the coming years.
