Hankook Tire Partners with Schmitz Cargobull for OE Supply Agreement

The contract will last from July 2026 to June 2030, enhancing Hankook's presence in the European commercial vehicle market.

Hankook Tire & Technology Co., part of the Hankook & Company Group, has established a supply agreement with Schmitz Cargobull, a prominent European trailer manufacturer. This contract focuses on providing truck and bus tires (TBR) as original equipment (OE).
Hankook has been supplying OE tires to Schmitz Cargobull since 2013 and has expanded its product offerings through 2022. Under this new contract, Hankook will supply TBR products to Schmitz Cargobull for four years, starting in July 2026 and ending in June 2030. This collaboration aims to strengthen their long-term partnership and enhance product competitiveness in the European commercial vehicle market.
Schmitz Cargobull's Role
Schmitz Cargobull is recognized as Europe’s largest trailer manufacturer, with production facilities across Germany, the UK, Spain, Lithuania, Romania, and Turkey. The company produces a range of trailers, including refrigerated semi-trailers and dump trailers, playing a significant role in the European logistics industry.
Product Offerings
During the partnership, Hankook will provide various commercial vehicle tires that utilize their advanced Smartec technology. Key products include:
- Smart Line for long-distance travel
- Smart Flex for medium-distance use
- Smart Work for dump trucks
Hankook plans to expand its product range to include replacement tires, increasing its market presence.
