Nissan Unveils New Elgrand with Advanced e-POWER Technology

Nissan has launched the new Elgrand, marking its first complete redesign in 16 years. The fourth-generation model features the latest e-POWER technology and aims to provide a premium travel experience for long distances.
Overview of the New Elgrand
On July 16, Nissan introduced the new Elgrand, a complete redesign of the model for the first time in 16 years. This fourth-generation minivan integrates the third-generation e-POWER system and the electric four-wheel control technology known as e-4ORCE.
Design and Comfort Features
The Elgrand is designed as a 'Limitless Grand Tourer' aimed at ensuring comfort for all passengers during long journeys. Chief Product Specialist Tomoshi Nakamura emphasized the goal of creating a vehicle that encourages families and friends to embark on drives of 500 to 600 km, making every ride enjoyable.
The vehicle's exterior captures a sense of speed and flagship presence, inspired by the linear motor car concept. The front grille design takes cues from traditional Japanese craftsmanship, and the body colors include 'Fuji Dawn,' which reflects the natural beauty of a sunrise over Mount Fuji.
Advanced Technology
The new Elgrand features multiple driving modes, including Standard, Sport, Comfort, Eco, Snow, and Personal, allowing for tailored driving experiences. The combination of e-POWER, e-4ORCE, and intelligent dynamic suspension aims to deliver a ride that is distinct from previous minivan offerings. Additionally, the vehicle incorporates enhanced braking controls for smoother operation.
Interior Quality and Noise Control
Inside, the Elgrand focuses on ease of driving and a premium feel, with a large 27-inch display on the dashboard and thoughtfully designed seating to minimize fatigue during long trips. Active noise control technology is also featured, designed to reduce engine and road noise for a quieter cabin experience.
During the launch event, Nissan brand ambassador Ryohei Suzuki praised the Elgrand's smooth acceleration and quiet ride, noting that it feels like a lounge in the rear seats.
Nissan positions the new Elgrand as a pivotal model for future growth, embodying the brand's new message, 'Drive Your Way, Nissan.'
