Mercedes-AMG is gearing up for the introduction of its first electric SUV, which is expected to debut on October 17, 2026. This event will take place at The 140 Festival, hosted by the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart.
Although the specific details are not officially confirmed, reports suggest that the vehicle will hit dealerships in 2027, with the first deliveries anticipated shortly after its release. AMG had previously announced plans for a large electric SUV back in November 2024, describing it as a ‘super-SUV’ positioned above the current EQE and EQS SUV models.
Production and Specifications
The production of this electric SUV will take place at the Sindelfingen facility, which has been repurposed for electric vehicle assembly. This marks a significant shift for AMG, which has traditionally been associated with its Affalterbach base. While technical specifications remain unconfirmed, it is expected that the SUV will share components with the Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé4, which boasts an impressive power output of 860 kW (1,169 hp).
